Tranquility Place Hummingbirds

Hummer 1

I'm sitting beside the table under the feeding station at the west end of our back porch. Bill could not get the entire swarm of hummers into the frame.... I believe I only counted six. There are more feeders at the other end of the porch, and I make a gallon of nectar every other day. We know there are more than 40, and believe we have at least 50 right now. They usually come in March or April, but were late this year, and we only had about 25-30 until 2 weeks ago. No doubt, they are migrating again. I can't tell what they are, except for the Ruby Throated, but there are several different kinds... sizes, tails, etc....

He took about 20 pictures, and it's hard for me to decide which ones show the birds best... I'm sending them one at a time, due to the speed of downloads....

Hummer 2

The hummer just above my head looks farther away from me than he actually was. Note the length of my hand in the picture, holding the one feeder.... It's that same distance to the guy above me. My hair was blowing in the wind of his wings..... Also, see the one who is getting ready to land on the feeder I'm holding....

When Bill backed up enough to get the whole swarm, he could not see the birds at all.

Hummer 3

There are 4 in this picture.... all straight up from the one sitting on the feeder I'm holding. At the top of the picture is an artificial bird on a wind chime, but there is a hummer in front of it, with his back to the camera and his tail spread.
