Hi-Line Lake Resort

Sunset at Hi-Line Lake Resort

I have a lot of favorite campgrounds.

Hi-Line Lake Resort, 75 miles northwest of Austin, Texas, on the shores of Lake Buchanan is high on the list.

This is where we stayed when I went Geocashing with other RVers, an adventure I told you about earlier. It’s in the Texas Hill Country, an area that outdoes itself in beauty at every turn.

The campground is open year round, and each season is special… from wildflowers in the spring, to summer water activities, to leaf-peeping in the fall, to Bald Eagle watching in the winter. And... not to be overlooked, spectacular sunsets across the lake almost every night.

You can go on a cruise up Lake Buchanan and the Colorado River from here. The cruise boat for the Vanishing Texas River Cruise stops at their dock to pick up passengers.
